For Luke Abbott’s album Music From The Edge Of An Island, the main goal was to create a simple, beautiful, and meaningful visual translation of his gentle piano pieces. We focused on a theme of contrasts: the design moves between organic and static elements and forms that appear of different weight or density – but are actually balanced to achieve a careful equilibrium. Expressive bright colors and shapes are a focal point of the design, which playfully references the album’s title.
